Vaccinex Appoints John H. Parker, PH.D. as Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs & Quality Systems

Rochester, NY June 15, 2010 – Vaccinex announced today that Dr. John H. Parker has joined the company as Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems to support the advancement of the company's lead therapeutic antibody programs into the clinical stage of development.

Dr. Parker will be responsible for developing and implementing regulatory strategies and managing relationships with regulatory authorities. He will also be responsible for the on-going development and management of quality systems to ensure that drug development processes are in compliance with regulatory and biopharmaceutical industry standards.

John brings over 35 years of biopharmaceutical experience to Vaccinex, with 25 of those years in senior Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance/Compliance roles. John has served at the levels of Senior Director to Senior Vice President in RA/QA for several emerging and established biologics companies, including Praxis Biologics, Merck, Centocor, Immune Response, and MedImmune, among others. John received his Ph.D. in Radiation Biology and Genetics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, completed post-doctoral work at Johns Hopkins, and completed two years of medical training at Albany Medical College.
