Rochester, NY - Vaccinex, Inc. announced today that Dr. Robert
B. Parker will join the company as Director, Regulatory Affairs &
Quality Systems to support the company's advancing therapeutic antibody
development programs. Dr. Parker will be responsible for developing and implementing regulatory
strategies and managing relationships with regulatory authorities. He
will also be responsible for the on-going development and management
of quality systems to ensure that drug development processes are in
compliance with regulatory and biopharmaceutical industry standards.
Raymond E. Watkins, Vaccinex's Vice President of Operations, commented, "The combination of Bob's scientific training in applied pharmacology, his extensive drug development experience in all phases from pre-clinical through clinical stages, and, especially, his regulatory affairs leadership and compliance expertise make him an excellent addition to our organization. ActivMAb® technology, Vaccinex can select fully human monoclonal
antibodies against targets that would be difficult to address with other

and other non-human antibodies. Vaccinex is developing a broad pipeline
of antibody products and is currently engaged in six antibody development
projects, four of which are entering pre-clinical development in 2006.
