FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rochester, NY - January 26, 2009. Vaccinex, Inc. announced today
that it has presented an update on its preclinical results with anti-CD100
Monoclonal Antibody at the Keystone Symposium on Multiple Sclerosis
(Santa Fe, NM). Using proprietary CD100 specific antibodies, Vaccinex has shown that
CD100 neutralization inhibits antigen specific antibody responses in
vivo and that treatment with anti-CD100 MAbs attenuates the severity
of EAE in several mouse EAE models. Vaccinex has selected a human antibody
specific for CD100. This antibody has been demonstrated to be safe and
to have normal Pharmacokinetic properties in monkeys. This antibody
is currently in IND directed preclinical development. Vaccinex, Inc. Vaccinex, Inc. is a biotechnology company engaged in the discovery
